Ennis 2020 Community Visioning with University of Limerick
Using input from the community and independent advice from University of Limerick, the people’s vision for Ennis in the year 2020 was drawn up in 2011. The democratic process was led by Cllr. Johnny Flynn and Clare Active Citizens. Full details from www.ennis2020.ie and www.JohnnyFlynn.ie .
The outcomes from the Visioning have been summarised into a framework document, which has been adopted by Ennis Town Council. Any elected councillor can use the framework to work toward what the people of Ennis themselves have asked for.

After a ten year campaign to get funding for Oakleigh wood/ Cappahard Roundabout, Tulla Rd, Ennis, I welcome on Health and Safety grounds the € 1/4 million funding approval, to be spent on a road with over 6 and a half million vehicles using it each year, announced by Government for construction of the long awaited Oakleigh wood/ Cappahard Roundabout on the busy Tulla road Ennis. This road is one of the busiest in Clare with over 18,000 average daily vehicular usage.
Great News - my and other peoples work at Local Democracy level helps in ensuring that Dublin Coach has been issued with an improved Ennis Limerick Dublin bus service licence, which is one without the restrictions of not being able to drop off or take on passengers at Arthur's Quay Limerick at morning & evening Peak times. ...
